Synopsis
A college intern is allowed to conduct therapeutic acting exercises in the day-room of a psychiatric hospital. Despite the patients’ peculiarities, their acting abilities are brought forth and a musical play is developed. What’s the theme? What else, the age-old grand struggle between good and evil. Meanwhile, a conflict between convention and innovation develops within the hospital staff, threatening the project. But the patients overcome; “We’re a family now.” Here, within both comedy and drama, the therapeutic nature of theater is explored. Large cast, many roles where creative interpretation is encouraged. A guaranteed hit on any stage.
