A twenty-something misfit, Jack Neufield, discovers the holy grail of science – the Theory of Everything, aka, The Law of Connections and builds a conveyance in his barn that reverses gravity.  Regrettably, in his zeal to test the device, he’s seen stealing Cobalt 60, at a local hospital.  With sirens closing in, he still manages to test the "thing" and it works better than expected – he blasts through the barn roof!  The Universe is 14 billion years old.  How old is the oldest civilization and what would they be like?  What is beyond the Cosmos?  Are there aliens on the moon, and what are they doing there anyway?  Jack finds out.  The adventure continues in Book 2 – "The Emergence" (the Earth is ready) and Book 3 – "First Contact" (they finally come).
