David L. Jackins

David L. Jackins is one of the co-founders of Crystal Theatre, where he continues to serve as a guest directorplus lighting and set designer. In addition, Dave is one of Crystal Theatre’s resident playwrights. He has written the librettos for the musical dramedies Louder than Words and Without Passion or Prejudice, as well as the one-act comedy, The Nickleberry’s. Dave is an educator in the Greenwich Public School system and the creator/director of Creative Summer at the Mead School in Stamford. He is a graduate of the University of Maine with a B.A. in English/Speech-Communication/Theatre. Dave adds a loose and easy , but highly competent touch to the stage of Crystal Theatre. His plays are both dramatic and comedic and often involve a play within a play highlighting the transformative nature of theater.
