Samantha Frangione

Samantha has been working for Crystal Theatre since 1999 and became a full-time member of the staff in 2008 and has directed over 50 musicals. Prior to this, Samantha worked as a teaching assistant, stage manager, and sound technician.  In 2008, Samantha created Crystal Theatre's first preschool acting program which has flourished into a popular activity for those under the age of 5.  Samantha has written the musicals “Coming of Age” using the music from her 90’s pop group Krystal and “Prohibition Norwalk - 1925”, the fourth installment in the Ellis Island series.

Performing since the age of 10, Samantha has acted and starred in over one hundred productions in Fairfield County, as well as in the Off-Broadway production of Cleopatra in 2008.  She has also been featured on numerous Crystal Theatre Publishing CDs, including Snow Queen, Cleopatra, and Hungarian Nights.  Samantha’s favorite Crystal Theatre experience was performing with founder Cheryl Kemeny in Mother Jones and the March of the Mill Children in 2007.

Samantha earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and Communication & Theater Arts from Western Connecticut State University in 2006, becoming a a certified Elementary School teacher. Currently she serves as the Educational Coordinator for the Norwalk Historical Society where she is the director of their Little Red Schoolhouse and the ever-popular A Haunting at Mill Hill ghost walk. Also she is the director of the Weston, CT Historical Society.
